Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years of age to use NeuraWrite. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

If you are accessing the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

NeuraWrite is an AI-powered document generation platform that helps users research, draft, humanize, and export written content. The Service uses third-party AI providers including Anthropic (Claude), Perplexity, Undetectable.ai, GPTZero, and Sapling to process your content.

Important: Your content is transmitted to these third-party AI services as part of normal operations. Each provider has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. See our Privacy Policy for details.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• NeuraWrite reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree to use NeuraWrite only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You specifically agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• Generate content that infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service or its output without authorization.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limiting, or any technical restrictions.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Use the Service to generate content for the purpose of fraud, deception, or academic dishonesty in violation of applicable policies.

NeuraWrite is a writing assistance tool designed to help you research, outline, and draft content for reference and research purposes. You are solely responsible for how you use any content generated through this Service.

Submitting AI-generated work as your own without proper disclosure may violate your educational institution's honor code or academic integrity policy. By using NeuraWrite, you:

• Acknowledge and accept full responsibility for complying with all applicable academic integrity requirements.
• Understand that NeuraWrite does not condone or encourage academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or misrepresentation.
• Agree to indemnify NeuraWrite against any consequences, penalties, or disciplinary actions resulting from your use of generated content.
• Acknowledge that NeuraWrite may cooperate with institutional investigations if required by law or valid legal process.

• Accuracy: AI-generated content may contain factual errors, fabricated citations, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying all content before use.
• No Undetectability Guarantee: While our humanization process aims to reduce AI detection scores, NeuraWrite does not guarantee that content will be undetectable by any specific AI detection tool. Detection technology evolves constantly and results may vary. Independent research shows no humanization tool achieves 100% bypass across all detectors.
• Copyright Limitations: Under current U.S. Copyright Office guidance, AI-generated content may have limited or no copyright protection. You should understand the intellectual property limitations of AI-generated works.
• Source Verification: Document generation uses live source research via Perplexity to retrieve real citations. However, you should independently verify all sources and references before relying on them for professional, academic, or legal purposes.
• AI Chat Assistant Limitations: The AI Chat Assistant does not have access to real-time internet data unless you explicitly request sources, in which case it uses live search. General responses are based on the AI model's training knowledge, which has a cutoff date and may not reflect the most current information. Do not rely on AI Chat responses as legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
• No Guarantee of Results: NeuraWrite does not guarantee any particular outcome from use of the Service, including academic results, detection scores, or publication acceptance.

Your content and conversations are processed securely and in isolation from other users:

• Chat sessions are not stored server-side. AI Chat conversation history exists only in your browser session. Each new session starts fresh. No chat history is accessible to other users or retained on our servers beyond the active request.
• Documents are access-controlled. All generated documents are stored in our database with row-level security enforced at the database level. Your documents are only accessible via your authenticated account.
• API processing is request-isolated. Content sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, Perplexity, Undetectable.ai) is processed as a discrete API call. These providers do not share your content with other users and, under their API terms, do not use it for model training.
• Team seat data. If you are on a team plan, the team owner can see aggregate usage statistics but cannot access the content of documents or chat sessions belonging to individual team members.

Content generated through NeuraWrite using your inputs is owned by you, subject to the AI copyright limitations noted above. NeuraWrite retains no ownership rights to your generated documents.

We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our services. The NeuraWrite name, logo, and all related marks are our intellectual property.

You grant NeuraWrite a limited, non-exclusive license to process your input content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

NeuraWrite respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to support@neurawrite.ai containing:

• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing.
• Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
• A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
• Your physical or electronic signature.

We will respond to valid DMCA notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NeuraWrite, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Any claim that your use of generated content caused damage to a third party.
• Academic disciplinary actions resulting from your use of the Service.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NEURAWRITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL NEURAWRITE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

NEURAWRITE'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service ("Dispute") shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Arbitration shall be conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the United States, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, and 14 shall survive termination.

By using the Service, you consent to receiving electronic communications from us (email, in-app notices). You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

NeuraWrite shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, internet failures, or third-party service disruptions.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Sales, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NeuraWrite, Inc. regarding the Service.
